Thanks to John Cluver for keeping us advised

The cycle race certainly snarled up the access ways through the city and was responsible for keeping members away.
*Beginners: First time on water after completing 2 doses of tank training. Both made good progress and Butch started to prove his power.
In her last piece down the north bank Emily stared to get it together
Ishaam and Michelle had their first tank session. When I said to them, “on the water next Sunday”, Michelle informed me she intended to do a few more tank sessions before venturing on the water. When you are ready Michelle, we don’t have to rush it.
Thanks to Charlie for coaching in the tank. He had hurt his knee last Sunday when he went hiking. See what happens to you when you abandon your rowing for other uncouth activities!
**Beginner: Third time on water and starting to cook with gas! Well done Elra
Thanks to Shaun and George for coaching in the boat
Once again the 8+ confined its outing to the north bank course after one lap on the perimeter course because of the wind.
We had some very good pieces with Bill and John Q setting up cracking paces in the 20 at 50% 20 at 60%, 20 at 70% and 10 at 80% on the sprint.
Good stuff!
Believe it or not, David, after having returned to rowing after 10 years, found that he could actually row on bow side better than stroke side to which he had been confined while at St Andrews College!
Keith Reid is building up for something but he is not saying what?! He has not missed a Sunday in the past six except for the Gauteng School Champs.
John Q only did one lap in the 1x because he forgot to inflate the out rigger wheels! Actually we needed him to make up the 8+
Margaret and Nicolette looked good in the 2x. It will not be long before Elra is ready to join them in a ladies quad with Catherine. When Emily is up to speed we will have a squad of 5 ladies. Ideally we need six + ladies for our squad.
I am tempted to say we had a Prima Donna 8+ on the water because Shaun was in the bow position! How lucky can we get? Apparently the Prima Donna 4x- of Rod, Dieter, Will and Shaun were to train in the afternoon when Rod returned from C.T. I think they have decided to train in secret for the S.A. Masters Regatta which is just around the corner on the 28th of November
